"First and foremost, it's important to stay focused. When you concentrate, you can overcome any problem that arises."
Rita, a Portuguese-born chef, started cooking at a young age, joining her grandmother and mother in the kitchen on holidays and days off. As a teenager, she continued to follow their recipes, gradually developing a love for cooking. After graduating from culinary school in Portugal, she built her career at Story, a Michelin 2-star restaurant in London, where she gained confidence and the ability to overcome challenges.
While working in London, Rita became acquainted with Chef Joseph through her colleagues. When she expressed her desire to work in Korea, she heard about an opportunity at Evett and decided to come to Korea. Currently, she serves as a sous chef at Evett, swiftly assessing and providing the necessary assistance in the kitchen to ensure smooth service.
For Rita, concentration is paramount. She believes that maintaining focus allows her to overcome any problem that may arise. Additionally, she values maintaining happiness while working as a chef, emphasizing the importance of an open mind and effective stress management to sustain long-term joy in cooking.
